The Department of clinical and molecular Medicine has issued a public notice to identify sponsors to support the following research project: "Telemedicine in the care management of the frail elderly patient with severe osteoporosis".
The purpose of this initiative is to launch a market exploration aimed at collecting financial contributions from private entities, corporations, foundations, and associations to support the implementation of the project led by Prof. Laura Tafaro.

Project overview: severe osteoporosis in frail elderly patients drastically increases the risk of fragility fractures (particularly femoral and vertebral), compromising their independence and quality of life.
The project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Telemedicine (through tele-visit, tele-monitoring, and tele-advice services already launched at the Sant'Andrea University Hospital) to improve therapeutic adherence to secondary prevention and ensure continuity of care directly from a distance.
The funds raised will also be used to recruit medical personnel specialized in Geriatrics to support clinical and research activities.

Scientific Director: Prof. Laura Tafaro.
Estimated required funding: € 10,000.00.
Minimum contribution for participation: € 2,000.00 (multiple sponsorships or temporary groups of sponsors are permitted).
Project duration: 12 months.
Return on investment for Sponsors: the Department will guarantee brand visibility for the entire duration of the sponsorship by featuring the sponsor’s logo on the website and on printed informational materials.

Deadline: Thursday 24 September 2026
